Goodbye freeforums.org, we had a good run. Unfortunately I fucked with the wrong person, and he was able to get us shut down.

I never thought it would happen. I thought I was immune. I was a God among men with this forum and all my shitty duals. I was somebody special. And now it's all gone...all gone.

An extremely good point. If one admin takes a personal dislike to a member, it should not necessarily influence the admin of another site that the member belongs to. However sadly, this is happening.

And as the said member is banned, it is hard for him to debate the ban by either party, despite breaking no rules on either forum. and may have to post on other forums to refute the ban that the admins have no influence over. 


One would think that an admin would not do such a thing, but it sadly is not the case.

Perhaps if the reputation was not so bad then more sites would show a willingness to join the "network" but when the admins on the network abuse it, then people will not be so keen to join.

The basic concept seems like a good idea and it seems to work, but cross banning of members who have broken no rules by the various admins as a "favour" to the other admins actually destroys the creditability of the network. And of the admins concerned.


I have influence on some sites that have shown interest in joining, but I cannot in good conscience recommend the network as it currently exists to any one.

I joined there to post a disclaimer, about an imposter that he was allowing to impersonate me, despite providing ample proof that I was who I claimed to be, I was abused and banned.

Contacted DC to test memory and hard drives and after a few hours of waiting they came back with a bad primary drive.

Asked them to install new drive, mount 'bad' drive as secondary to see if I could save anything and after waiting patiently a few more hours found a better host with a much better backup solution and told the other company to go fuck themselves.

So were on a new server, it's a few bucks cheaper and should be faster and much more reliable in the long term.

Another small website with an administrator that deceives and misleads his members.

As a member I asked him for information, as I was under the understanding that a DMCA report needs to go to the sites agent if they have one.
I politely asked him if he had such an agent. his reaction was quite amazing for an admin, he falsely accused me of threatening him when no threat was made neither were any demands made, just a REQUEST as to whether he has such an agent. For this REQUEST he told me I was banned.

Now he lies to the members and posts this.

So suddenly the excuse for my banning goes from the reason being a supposed "threat" to me abusing the report system even though the rules ASK for bad links to be reported.

Why do these small site admins feel the need to lie to their members so much? what are they so afraid of-The truth? is it this that scares them so much?
